EveryStep Hospice is seeking volunteers to participate in its Vet-to-Vet program, which connects veterans with fellow veterans receiving hospice care.
The program, formerly known as HCI Hospice Care Services, pairs veteran volunteers with patients who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The goal is to provide companionship and support during the end-of-life journey.
Through the program, veteran volunteers can share conversations, read aloud, and provide companionship to patients. Their shared military experiences can help veterans connect with one another, reflect on their lives, and find comfort and peace.
EveryStep Hospice says the program offers veterans an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting fellow service members during a difficult time.
