Several downtown Ottumwa streets will be closed Thursday, October 8, for a special event.
Market Street, from Commercial Street to East Second Street, along with the 100 and 200 blocks of East Main Street, will be closed from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Advanced warning signs will be placed south of the Market Street Bridge to alert motorists about the closures north of the bridge.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use alternate routes while the closures are in place.
The street closures coincide with Motorheads on Main, which is scheduled for downtown Ottumwa from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
