Copperhead Road, also known as County Highway H47, will be closed beginning Tuesday, October 6, for a culvert replacement project.
The closure is located between 194th Avenue and 180th Avenue and is expected to begin around 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The road is expected to remain closed through Tuesday, October 13, at approximately 3:30 p.m., although officials hope to reopen the road earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.
Drivers are asked to use caution in the area and follow the posted detour. The recommended detour will take motorists along Bluegrass Road to 180th Avenue.
Drivers should allow extra time for travel and avoid the closed section of Copperhead Road while construction is underway.
