The Carnegie Historical Museum of Fairfield will be temporarily closed October 13th through the 16th to conduct inventory and get a handle on the volume of artifacts currently coming in, according to a social media post from the museum.
The museum said it has been receiving artifacts on a daily basis and needs time to properly document and catalog what it has. Additional brief closures are also planned during the winter months, with the museum saying it will keep the public informed of those dates as they are determined.
