CPKC will be conducting construction work at the railroad crossing on Monroe-Wapello Road (T-61) south of Blakesburg.
The road will be closed beginning Tuesday, September 8, at 7:00 a.m. The closure is expected to remain in place through Tuesday, September 15, at approximately 3:30 p.m., weather and construction conditions permitting.
The closure will affect approximately 2,000 feet of Monroe-Wapello Road near the railroad crossing. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route and allow additional travel time while the work is underway.
The road is anticipated to reopen on September 15 once the crossing work has been completed.
