Maharishi International University Athletics has named Lynika “Niki” Collins as the head coach of its women’s basketball program, according to a social media post from MIU Athletics. Collins will be tasked with building the Pioneer women’s basketball program from the ground up.
Collins brings more than 12 years of collegiate coaching and athletics administration experience to Fairfield, including extensive experience in the NAIA. Her background includes student-athlete development, recruiting, program operations, and building competitive programs at the collegiate level.
Collins said her vision for the program extends beyond wins and losses. “My goal is to build more than a basketball program,” Collins said. “I want to create an environment where student-athletes can grow in discipline, confidence, self-awareness, and purpose.”
MIU Athletics is part of the university’s growing athletics program, which competes as a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
