Travelers on Highway 92 in Keokuk and Washington counties should expect intermittent delays over the next two weeks due to road construction work currently underway in both directions between County Road W15 and County Road W38, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
The construction zone is located approximately two to seven miles west of the West Chester area, starting roughly two and a half miles west of West Chester and extending approximately five miles past the Keokuk-Washington Road intersection. Work is expected to run through September 10th at approximately 1:00 p.m., weather permitting. Work began Friday, August 28th at 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures and a pilot car in operation throughout the construction zone. Drivers are asked to watch for flaggers and follow all travel instructions.
