The City of Ottumwa will temporarily close a portion of East Fourth Street near Ottumwa High School beginning Friday, August 28, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
The closure is needed to complete final action items associated with the Phase 8 Division 2 Sewer Separation Project.
East Fourth Street is expected to reopen by Monday morning.
Motorists traveling in the area are encouraged to use alternate routes while the work is underway. Drivers and pedestrians should also use caution when traveling near the construction zone and watch for workers and equipment.
