Clinton Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Federal Prison for Drug and Firearm Charges

A Clinton man was sentenced on August 12, 2026, to 15 years in federal prison for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

According to public court documents and evidence presented at sentencing, Willie Devon Brown, 43, possessed nine pounds of methamphetamine packed for distribution, $8,000, and a pistol in a duffel bag.

After completing his term of imprisonment, Brown will be required to serve a five-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

United States Attorney David C. Waterman of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement. The Clinton Police Department investigated the case.
