Bloomfield will be buzzing with activity Saturday as the annual Jam and Jelly Competition returns during the Bloomfield Farmers Market.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on the Bloomfield Square, with 23 entries already registered for this year’s competition. Organizers say there could be a few additional entries before the event begins.
The public will have an opportunity to sample the entries and help select their favorites. Public judging costs $2, which includes a plate and judging supplies.
The morning will also feature live music by Lee Klett and food from J’s Curbside Cravings. The Bloomfield Kids Mini Market will join the regular Farmers Market vendors, giving young entrepreneurs an opportunity to sell their items.
Organizers are encouraging residents to grab a chair and spend the morning on the square while enjoying the Farmers Market, music, food and, of course, plenty of homemade jam and jelly.
