Larry Eugene Wiseman, 63, of Ottumwa, died at 12:01 a.m. July 16, 2026 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born April 2, 1963 in Ottumwa to Kenneth “Leon” and Dorothy A. Hiatt Wiseman. He married Serena VanBuskirk in August of 1983 and they later divorced.
A 1982 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Larry was a forklift driver for Hormel, Excel and Cargill Meat Solutions.
Larry had a dump truck for a short while and enjoyed scrapping. He also enjoyed vintage and classic vehicles. He loved music and playing the harmonica.
Surviving are his children, Larry Wiseman (Brandy Felles) and Jennifer Wiseman (Jake Van Veen); 6 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and 3 brothers, Kenny (Susie) Wiseman, Gary Wiseman and Richard Wiseman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond Wiseman; and sister, Diane Steele.
His body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm Tuesday, July, 21st at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. Visitation with his family present to greet friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21st at Reece Funeral Home.
