Kirk Michael Kane, 62, of Stockport, Iowa, passed away on June 30, 2026.

Kirk was born on June 3, 1964, in Spencer, Iowa. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, willingness to help others, energetic personality, and ability to tackle just about any project that came his way. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Kirk carried with him a sense of determination and resilience that remained evident throughout his life.

Kirk was truly a jack of all trades. Over the years, he pursued several different career paths, including truck driving, farming, and working as an arborist. No matter the job, he took pride in doing things the right way and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Friends and family knew they could count on him for advice, a helping hand, or a practical solution to almost any problem.

One of Kirk’s greatest passions was working on his vehicles. He took exceptional pride in keeping them in immaculate condition, dedicating countless hours to ensuring they always looked and ran their best. His vehicles reflected the care, patience, and attention to detail that he brought to everything he did. He also particularly enjoyed working on vehicles with his good buddy, Rod.

Above all else, Kirk treasured the time he spent with his daughter, Annie. Whether they were traveling and site seeing together or enjoying a cookout at home, those moments brought him genuine happiness. One of their very favorite things to do together was meeting for breakfast at a local restaurant. The memories they created together will be cherished forever.

Kirk will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his resourcefulness, his pride in a job well done, and the love he had for those closest to him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
