William Penn University, along with Ottumwa Radio Group, would like to congratulate Albia Softball player Grace Pence, our 1240 AM/102.7 FM KBIZ Athlete of the Week!
The senior struck out 11 batters over five shutout innings as the Lady Dees defeated Des Moines Christian 9-0 last Tuesday to make the state tournament for the ninth time in school history. Pence enjoyed a strong season that saw her accumulate a 26-2 record in the circle with an ERA of 0.63 and 359 strikeouts over 178.1 innings.
