Sharon Kay Parker 79 of Libertyville passed away on Saturday June 6, 2026 at Prestige Care Center in Fairfield.
In accordance with her wishes her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Friday June 19, 2026 at 10:30AM at Faith Methodist Church in Libertyville. Burial of cremains will follow the service in Fell Cemetery, Libertyville. Memorials in Sharon’s honor to Libertyville Faith Global Methodist Church – Libertyville may be brought to the graveside service or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 29, Libertyville, IA 52567. Sharon was born on August 12, 1946 in Fairfield to Cleve and Ruth Louth Howard. She attended elementary school in Libertyville and high school in Fairfield where she graduated with the class of 1964. Upon graduation she began cosmetology school in Fairfield and worked as a hair stylist. During this time Sharon became a saleswoman for Avon products. It was something that she truly loved and spent over 40 years selling. She also spent many years working at the senior center.
On April 28, 2001, Sharon was united in marriage to Michael Parker at the Libertyville Methodist Church. The two of them enjoyed spending time touring with their Model A, taking care of their cats and camping. Sharon spent her entire life living in Libertyville except for a short while in Birmingham and was a member of the Libertyville Faith United Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael Parker, a nephew, Jeremy Howard (Betty) of Fairfield and a niece, Zena Beth Leonard of Streader, IL, nieces, Tina Kogan Tempe, AZ and Rhonda Davis of Denver and a nephew, Randy Davis, Fort Collin, CO She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gary and Merlin Howard and a sister, Sandra Jean Davis
