Main Street Ottumwa is inviting families to Central Park for a free outdoor movie night later this month as part of its Central Park Cinema series.
The featured film will be Disney and Pixar’s Ratatouille, with the movie scheduled to begin around 7:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy games, activities, and time together before the show starts.
The event is designed to bring the community together while highlighting one of downtown Ottumwa’s most popular gathering spaces. Organizers say the family-friendly evening offers a chance for residents and visitors to relax, connect, and enjoy a night under the stars.
“Central Park Cinema is all about bringing families together and creating positive experiences downtown,” said Main Street Ottumwa Executive Director Kris Patrick. “Ratatouille is a film that appeals to kids and adults alike, and we’re excited to offer a free night of entertainment where families can relax, make memories, and enjoy everything downtown has to offer.”
Free popcorn will be available for attendees, while additional snacks and refreshments will be offered for purchase throughout the evening. Children’s games and activities will also be available before the movie begins.
The event is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and friends for an evening of family fun in Central Park.
