Police Respond to Early Morning Fight; Charges Filed in Oskaloosa Case

Police responded to a report of a disturbance in which individuals were allegedly involved in a physical altercation in a public area.

On May 10 at approximately 1:25 a.m., officers with the Oskaloosa Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of Santa Clara in response to a report of disorderly conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, Trenton Gundrum, 19, of Oskaloosa, was involved in fighting behavior in a public place.

Court documents state that Gundrum admitted to throwing punches at another male and taking part in a physical altercation.

Gundrum was taken into custody and transported to the Mahaska County Jail. Gundrum was later released after posting a $300 cash/surety bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 20.

Gundrum is charged with disorderly conduct involving fighting or violent behavior, a simple misdemeanor.
