Patricia Ardelle Harsch, 75, of Ottumwa died at 5:32 a.m. April 30, 2026 at Ridgewood Specialty Care.
She was born May 8, 1950 in Sioux City to Wayne Edward and Ruth Marie Nash Taylor. Patricia married Stanley William Harsch March 12, 1993.
A 1968 graduate of Spirit Lakes High School, Patricia attended Iowa Lakes Community College. She worked as a secretary, histologist and laboratory technician for Collaborative Lab Services. Patricia was a foster grandparent at Douma Elementary.
Patricia was a member of Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing when she was younger. Patricia also enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Surviving is her husband, Stan; 2 daughters, Julie Hoskins and Jonnie Alvarez both of Ottumwa; 6 grandchildren, Gabriel Alvarez, Marissa Bittner, Tyler Hoskins, Kourtney Hoskins, Jureese White and Robert Tomlin; 5 great grandchildren, Avery Eastman, Nova Hoskins, Melo Hoskins, Storm Alvarez and Maverick Bittner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Douglas Taylor; and her sister, Barb Sobkowiak.
Her body has been cremated. A memorial visitation with her family present to greet friends will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday May 2nd at Reece Funeral Home.
