Area 4-H members in grades four through twelve are invited to spend a day outdoors at the Wild Roots Adventure Camp on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lake Wapello State Park, located at 15248 Campground Road in Drakesville.
The camp is open to 4-H members enrolled in Region 25 and 26, covering Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Lucas, Monroe, Van Buren, Wapello, and Wayne counties. Planned activities include hiking, kayaking, fishing, outdoor games, leadership activities, nature-inspired crafts, hands-on campfire cooking, and s’mores, among other activities.
Spots are limited, with only five available per county on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee is $30 per participant, which must be paid to the local Extension Office. Registration is open through Monday, June 1st at https://form.jotform.com/260485030084047.
