Ottumwa Police Respond to Indecent Exposure Case Involving Minors

Local authorities recently responded to a report of indecent exposure in a public area. The incident involved a man displaying inappropriate behavior in view of several witnesses.

On April 26th at approximately 7:32 PM, the Ottumwa Police Department responded to a report of indecent exposure in the 800 block of S. Madison Ave.

Upon arrival, officers observed Nathan Robinson, 38, of Ottumwa, engaging in inappropriate behavior in a public place, specifically masturbating in view of a witness and five minor children, aged between 5 to 16 years.

According to the criminal complaint, the witness was deeply offended by Robinson’s actions.

Robinson is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail on a cash-only bond of $2,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 7th.

Robinson is charged with indecent exposure, classified as an aggravated misdemeanor.
