An early morning call led Ottumwa police to a residence on West Main Street after a reported violation of a no-contact order.
On April 11 at approximately 8:14 a.m., the Ottumwa Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of West Main Street for a reported violation of a no-contact order.
According to court documents, officers arrived and located 21-year-old Jason Pickrell, of Ottumwa, inside the victim’s residence. Authorities say Pickrell had an active restraining order involving the victim, which had been issued on March 3.
Pickrell was arrested and transported to the Wapello County Jail. He was later released.
A pretrial conference has been scheduled for May 7. Pickrell is facing three counts of violation of a no-contact/protective order, each classified as a simple misdemeanor.
