Authorities in Marion County are investigating an alleged assault involving a weapon that left a victim with a facial injury.
On April 18 at approximately 1:42 p.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an assault involving a deadly weapon.
According to a criminal complaint, 26-year-old Levi Null of Knoxville allegedly advanced toward the victim in a rapid motion while holding a weapon described as resembling brass knuckles.
Court documents state that Null struck the victim in the face with the weapon, resulting in a bleeding injury.
A no-contact order was issued on April 19.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 28.
Null is currently being held in the Marion County Jail on a $2,000 bond. He has been charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor.
