The Keota FFA chapter made history at the 2026 Iowa FFA State Convention, with Isaac Striegel being elected to the 2026-2027 Iowa FFA State Officer Team as the Southeast District Vice President — believed to be the first state officer in the chapter’s 83-year history.
“To our knowledge this is Keota’s first state officer in our 83 years as a chapter,” the chapter announced. “Congratulations to Isaac and we can’t wait to see his year of service to our organization!”
Striegel’s historic election headlined a strong showing for the Keota FFA chapter at state convention, with several other members also earning recognition.
Garrett Greiner, Jake Morris, and Gavin Sieren all received Iowa Degrees, the highest honor the state FFA organization can bestow upon its members. Brynn Conrad earned a Gold Rating for the Chapter Exhibit, and Brennan McGuire placed seventh with a Silver Rating in the Reporter’s Scrapbook competition. Drew Dodd and Zoey Sieren earned a Silver Rating in the Greenhand Quiz. Reese Conrad and Gavin Sieren served as voting delegates for the chapter, and Jack Greiner served on the Courtesy Corps during the convention.
