A Fairfield woman faces multiple charges after officers responded to a disturbance in Fairfield on Friday.
Charity Lynn Dakota Stropes, 28, was charged with Domestic Assault—Third or Subsequent Offense, a Class D felony, and Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor.
According to a press release from the Fairfield Police Department, officers responded to a report of a female screaming in the 500 block of West Jackson Avenue on April 3rd. Upon arrival, officers determined the incident involved a male and female who reside together at the location. Officers conducted interviews with both individuals as well as witnesses in the area.
During the investigation, officers determined that Stropes had assaulted the male resident of the home. Officers also discovered that a 6-month-old child had been left unattended in the residence, where multiple safety hazards were present, according to the press release.
Stropes is currently being held at the Jefferson County Correctional Facility without bond pending an initial court appearance.
