Douglas Jay Weller, 66, of Agency died at 2:00 a.m. April 20, 2026 at his home.
He was born October 18, 1959 in Ottumwa to Joe Edward and Joyce Phillips Weller. He married Carolyn Jean Holcomb June 7, 1980.
Doug graduated from Cardinal High School in 1978. He worked 16 years at Farmers CO-OP in Libertyville from 1980 to 1996. Doug worked 17 years at Agriland FS in Fairfield, retiring in 2024.
He loved spending time with his grandkids and attending their sporting events, especially go-cart races. Doug enjoyed going to the dirt track races and watching Indian Hills Basketball and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn; their children, Shane (Crystal) Weller of Agency and Brooke (Tim) Richmond of Chillicothe; 3 grandchildren, Harper, Rory and Ben; siblings, Greg (Eileen) Weller of Ottumwa, Brad (Sue) Weller of Garden City, KS and Cindy (Mark) Miller of Ottumwa; step-mother, Phyllis Weller; mother-in-law, Nannette Holcomb; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Richard Tharp; and father-in-law, Harry Holcomb.
Visitation will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday April 22nd at Reece Funeral Home. His family will be present to greet friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday April 23rd at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
