A physical altercation involving multiple individuals was reported to the local police department. Officers responded to the scene after receiving a call that one of the participants had left in a vehicle.

On March 6 at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Oskaloosa Police Department was notified of a physical altercation involving multiple individuals. The caller reported that Aamir Wilcoxon, 18, of Oskaloosa, had left the scene in a vehicle.

According to court documents, the vehicle was later located and stopped by officers. Wilcoxon admitted to officers that he had assaulted the victim in response to a social media post. Upon investigation, law enforcement observed that the victim had bruising on his back and a mark on his nose. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the YMCA.

Wilcoxon was arrested and transported to the Mahaska County Jail. He was later released after posting a $300 surety bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11. Wilcoxon is charged with disorderly conduct—fighting/violent behavior, a simple misdemeanor.
