A serious two-vehicle crash in rural Davis County last night resulted in one death and left two others injured.
According to authorities, the accident happened around 9:27 p.m. near the 17000 block of Highway 2 in West Grove. A Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound when it collided head-on with a westbound Buick Enclave that had crossed into the eastbound lane.
Both drivers, along with a passenger in the Enclave, were taken to Davis County Hospital. The driver of the Enclave, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, later died at the hospital. The other two individuals sustained injuries, though their conditions have not been disclosed.
Authorities are currently withholding the names of those involved while family members are being notified.
