Barry Lee Cloyd, 79, of Ottumwa died at 7:38 p.m. March 22, 2026 at his home.
He was born December 18, 1946 in Ottumwa to Leo V. and Marcine Pearson Cloyd. Barry married Jeanne Lange in 1972, they later divorced and stayed good friends. He married Monnell Ellis December 27, 1997 and she preceded him in death September 12, 2018.
Barry and his brothers attended the Dahlonega School House and he later graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1965. He was a radiologist that worked with nuclear medicine.
Barry loved music, making art work and was full of jokes and had a unique sense of humor.
Surviving is his brother, Gregory (Pam) Cloyd of Ottumwa; nieces and nephews, Anthony, Cathy, Emily, Jocelyn, Brian, Shawn and Richard; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Cloyd and Barb Cloyd; special friends, Jeanne and Connie; and 2 beloved chihuahuas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Cynthia Cloyd; brothers, Michael Cloyd and Alan Cloyd.
His body has been cremated. A graveside service for family and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
