Terri Rae Drummond, 77, of Ottumwa died at 2:14 p.m. February 23, 2026 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born February 15, 1949 in Ottumwa to Virgil William and Berneice Murphy Grear. Terri married Ralph Drummond July 25, 1997.
Terri graduated from Ottumwa High School and William Penn University. She had worked as a social worker, for Medical Merchant Exchange, Ottumwa Women’s Shelter, at the previous BP on Richmond Ave. and for Dr. Butler’s office from where she retired in 2008.
She had attended First Church of the Nazarene. In her retirement her greatest joy was babysitting her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, Ralph; a son, Lyle (Nicole) Collett of Agency; daughter, Latiscia Grear (Timmy Deener Jr.) of Ottumwa; 3 step children, Kevin (Josie) Drummond of Pulaski, Andrea Drummond of Troy, MO and Nathan Drummond of Drakesville; 9 grandchildren and 3 bonus grandchildren, Justine, Ashley, Savannah, Gunner, Brianna, Paisley, Tucker, Cole and Hazel; 4 great grandchildren, Elijah, Corbin, Ellie and Emery; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Lori Grear; 2 sisters, Betty Charlene Beintema and Joyce Davis.
Her body has been cremated. Graveside service and inurnment in Shaul Cemetery will be at a later date.
