On the evening of February 1st, officers responded to reports of a shooting outside Casey’s on East Main Street. Upon arrival, they found one individual with gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel were quickly called to the scene to provide assistance.
Following the incident, the suspected shooter was located at another address on North Walnut Street. Law enforcement established contact with the individual, who claimed to have set the firearm down and expressed willingness to surrender peacefully.
Officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and gathering evidence.
