It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a truly unique soul, R. Mohee Hanley, lovingly known as Mohee, born on September 13, 1958, in Colorado Springs, CO.

As her daughter, I can attest that her spirit was as vast and beautiful as the western landscapes she adored. She was a resilient woman, a force of nature who lived her life her way. Embodying her favorite saying, “what doesn’t kill you just makes you stronger,” Mohee’s zest for life was truly unparalleled. Mohee wasn’t just a woman—she was an experience. A laborer at JBS for over 30 years, she earned several awards for perfect attendance, a testament to her strong work ethic. She found joy in every corner of life, from the thrill of gun shows and military gear to the companionship of dogs and horses. Her hobbies were as diverse as her interests, ranging from knives, Jeeps, and Eagles to bicycling, rollerskating, and leather crafting. She was an active member of the Handyman Club and the Gun and Knife Club, where her vivacious personality was cherished by many. She believed in “no pain, no gain,” a philosophy she embraced in all aspects of her life.

Remembering her are her beloved family members: daughter, Billie (Robert) Antrim, son, Jerry Hanley; grandchildren, Wyatt (Shanell) Antrim, Madison Hanley, Rozalynn Antrim; great grandchildren, Kierra Antrim, Renez Antrim, Amara Antrim, and Liam Antrim; nephew Jeff Smith. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Rose Rayals; Father, Charles Leach; Half-Brother, Steve Leach; and Grandson, Joseph Antrim.

Just as Mohee lived a life full of variety, character, and resilience, we hope to honor her memory in the same way. As we remember her, let’s celebrate her spirit, her strength, and her unwavering commitment to living life on her own terms. As the poet Maya Angelou once said, “I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.” That was Mohee, always evolving, but never diminished.

We encourage you to leave your memories and upload photos of Mohee to the memorial page, where we can come together to pay tribute to this exceptional woman who touched our lives in so many ways.
