A beloved local tradition returns this weekend as musician Jonas Magram hosts his 30th Annual Children’s Holiday Benefit Concert on Saturday, December 6th, at 7:30 PM at the Golden Magnolia Sanctuary in Fairfield.
Three Decades of Giving
Over its 30-year history, the annual benefit concert has raised nearly $400,000, with 100% of proceeds going directly to support local and international charities. This year’s fundraising goal is set at $45,000.
The 2025 event will benefit four organizations:
- Golden Magnolia Sanctuary Community Kitchen
- SIEDA Community Action
- Ottumwa Crisis Center & Women’s Shelter
- Save the Children
Star-Studded Lineup
Saturday’s concert will showcase some of the region’s most talented performers. The evening’s entertainment includes Steve and Michaela McLain, Michael Dugan, Mount Pleasant vocalist Ming Vierra, pianist LeAnne Edgeton, and organist Werner Elmker.
Jonas Magram will also perform with his folk rock ensemble, featuring Iowa City guitarist John Lake, Phil Marks, and Keefe Lashway.

Tickets are available at the door for $15. The concert takes place at the Golden Magnolia Sanctuary in Fairfield, beginning at 7:30 PM on Saturday, December 6th.
