Fairfield is set to receive international attention next month as a group of local leaders heads to the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) Global Summit 2025. The event, held December 2–4 in Binh Duong, Vietnam, brings together top innovators, policymakers, and community leaders from around the world to explore the future of digital development, connectivity, and community growth.
For Fairfield, participating in the summit represents an opportunity to connect a rural Iowa community with global experts in smart-city planning, broadband, sustainability, workforce development, and economic resilience.
The ICF Summit highlights communities that excel in technology integration, civic engagement, and long-term planning. Fairfield’s continued involvement places it among internationally recognized regions such as Toronto, Taipei, Curitiba, and others known for forward-thinking development.
Attending the summit allows Fairfield representatives to gather ideas from leading cities, build partnerships, support local innovation, and strengthen its position in the Intelligent Community recognition process.
