Mayor-elect Benjamin Foote and City Councilmembers-
elect Cara Galloway, Dan Reid, and JoElla Duprey will be sworn in on Tuesday, December 2, 2025,
at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, ahead of the 5:30 p.m. City Council meeting. Although sworn in,
newly elected officials will not assume office until January 2, 2026.
On Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. there will be a send-off for outgoing officials Mayor
Rick Johnson and Councilmember Doug McAntire. The public is invited to City Hall to recognize
their service to the residents of Ottumwa.
