A 33-year-old Blakesburg man faces multiple charges after allegedly violating a protection order during two separate incidents in Fairfield on Thursday, November 6th, according to criminal records.

Dakoda Kendon Flinn was arrested following reports of a potential protection order violation in the 1000 block of North 8th Street.

According to court documents, officers first responded around 6:04 p.m. after receiving a report that Flinn had arrived at the residence of a protected individual and began damaging items outside the home. Before officers arrived, Flinn allegedly fled the area on foot, and a search at that time was unsuccessful.

At approximately 7:06 p.m., the victim contacted authorities again, reporting that Flinn had returned and was seen near her vehicle. He allegedly stole her daughter’s bicycle before leaving the scene. Officers later located Flinn in a nearby field.

Court records show that a no-contact order between Flinn and the alleged victim was issued on June 9th, 2025. According to the complaint, the victim also reported that Flinn allegedly threatened to burn her house down with her inside.

Flinn has been charged with:

·       Harassment – 1st Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor)

·       Violation of No Contact/Protective Order – Contempt (two counts, Simple Misdemeanor)

·       Criminal Mischief – 5th Degree (Simple Misdemeanor)

He was taken into custody and booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility. His bond is set at $2,000 cash only, and a no-contact order has been requested in the case. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 17th.
