The Van Buren County Warriors cross country teams turned in dominant performances Tuesday evening, sweeping both the girls’ and boys’ team titles at the Warrior Invite held at Indian Lake Park in Farmington.
The girls’ team, ranked No. 6 in Class 1A, left little doubt with all of their top runners finishing inside the top 10. Kayley Snowgren led the way with an individual title, followed by Rylee Philips in third, Adalyn Snowgren in fourth, and Rory Philips in fifth. Emma Coffin (8th) and Gabby Titus (10th) rounded out the impressive effort, giving the Warriors a perfect mix of front-running and depth.
The boys’ squad, ranked No. 12 in Class 1A, matched the girls’ success with a team victory of their own. Lincoln Bainbridge claimed the individual title, while teammate Landry Loeffler finished close behind in second. Gavin Noll (6th) and Reid Kite (7th) also broke into the top 10, cementing the Warriors’ commanding team score.
Both teams showcased the strength and depth of the program, making a statement as the postseason draws nearer.
