The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Center began a two-week renovation project yesterday, September 22nd, that will temporarily close several key amenities through October 5th. During this period, the pool, hot tub, sauna, and locker rooms will be unavailable to the public, though other areas of the facility will remain open.
The project focuses on refinishing the locker room floors. ProMaintenance of Hutchinson, Minnesota, is handling the work, which includes removing the old tan flooring, grinding the existing deck, sealing joints and cracks, and applying a durable epoxy overlay similar to the pool deck surface.
In preparation, Rec Center staff partnered with Plumbco over the past few weeks to improve the floor drains, ensuring the new flooring will function properly long-term.
City officials thank residents for their patience as these upgrades are completed, noting that the improvements will enhance both safety and comfort for facility users.
