A local man is facing charges after police say he threatened a couple during a confrontation in a parking lot.
Jackie Joe Leroy McKim Jr., 34, has been charged with two counts of Assault – Place in Fear of Contact/Intimidation, both simple misdemeanors, stemming from an incident on Monday, September 22nd.
According to police records, a man and his girlfriend were working on a vehicle at a local parking lot in Fairfield when a blue SUV drove up to them. Investigators said McKim stepped out of the vehicle and confronted the couple, demanding money he claimed was owed to him.
McKim allegedly got into the boyfriend’s face and threatened to “stomp your face in,” a statement directed toward both individuals. When questioned later by law enforcement, McKim admitted he had threatened to “stomp” the boyfriend’s face in.
A no contact order has been requested in this case.
