Five Alabama residents were transported to a local hospital after a single-vehicle rollover accident in Lee County on Sunday.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2010 Chrysler Sebring, driven by Amanda Hufnagle, 29, of Union Grove, Alabama, was traveling northbound on Highway 27 at approximately 8:10 PM.

The accident report states the vehicle drove into the left shoulder, overcorrected, and slid across the lanes. The vehicle entered a ditch on the east side of the roadway, overturned, and came to rest on its wheels while facing southeast.

Hufnagle, 32-year-old Nathan Oden, and three juveniles aged 11, 5, and 3 were injured in the accident. Officials say one of the minors who was in the backseat was ejected from the vehicle.

The five injured were taken to Fort Madison Hospital where their respective statuses are unknown.

Officials say the crash is still under investigation.
