On October 9th, 2025 the League of Women Voters of Ottumwa will hold a traditional candidate forum, with citizen generated questions, at the OHS Career Campus, 331 E. Main, Ottumwa from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
All of the candidates seeking to serve on the City Council and as Mayor will be invited. The event will be broadcast live and recorded for later viewing.
Each candidate will have equal time to present their vision for the City and to answer all questions presented by audience members.
Questions will be accepted on the FaceBook page of the League but must be signed with an actual name.
Signed questions from the audience are asked as written, though League may combine questions presented about the same issue, and may not ask unreadable questions. Cards and pens/pencils will be provided.
Voters are encouraged to attend and to directly question the candidates about opportunities and problems they see for our City.
Please use the entrance by the back parking lot. The front entrances on E. Main will be closed.
