An Ottumwa woman was arrested after police say she stole from her workplace earlier this month to pay a bond.

43-year-old Amanda Randolph was charged with first-degree theft, a Class C felony.

Court records say Randolph was formerly employed at the Dollar Tree store on Quincy Avenue in Ottumwa. While speaking with police, Randolph allegedly confessed to stealing $10,000 from the business to pay bond from a previous charge. According to the store management investigation, Randolph took $18,466.60 over a period of several days.

Randolph was taken into custody and transported to the Wapello County Jail. She was later released after posting a $10,000 bond.
