Ottumwa Regional Health Center (ORHC) is excited to announce the appointment of Zenna Boyd to its Board of Trustees. With over two decades of dedicated leadership experience, Zenna brings a wealth of knowledge in workforce development, strategic operations, and community engagement.

Originally from Milton, Iowa, Zenna has called Ottumwa home since 2004. She currently serves as the human resources director at JBS, where she has spent 21 years honing her skills in various positions, including quality assurance, operations, industrial engineering, and change management.

“Zenna’s diverse leadership background and passion for community service make her an exceptional addition to our board,” said William Kiefer, CEO of Ottumwa Regional Health Center. “Her insights will be invaluable as we work to strengthen the connection between healthcare and the communities we serve.”

Zenna earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University) and holds an MBA with a marketing certification from Colorado State University. A proud veteran, she served eight years as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves, specializing in carpentry and masonry.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Zenna is actively involved in the Ottumwa community. She currently serves as Vice President on the board of GOPIP, sits on the Southeast Iowa JBS Sports Center board, and participates in various advisory committees. Previously, she dedicated four years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).

“I believe in the importance of strong community hospitals,” Zenna shared. “I’m truly honored to serve on the board of Ottumwa Regional Health Center and look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members and the hospital leadership team to explore new ways to expand access to quality care right here at home.”

Zenna resides in Ottumwa with her two children, Noah and Haylee, and their beloved French bulldog, Sasha. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, listening to music, reading, and volunteering in the community.
