Edward Pate, 64, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 4:14 p.m. June 29, 2025 at Emerald Mercy Nursing & Rehab in Omaha, NE.
He was born December 23, 1960 in Iowa City to James R. and Clela Ferne Toopes Pate.
Edward graduated from North High School in Omaha. He had owned and operated Pate Iron & Metal for 30 years.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends doing various activities.
Surviving are his siblings, James (Norine) Pate, Thomas (Michael) Orr-Pate, Barbara (Rick) Waltermeyer, all of Omaha; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Pate; a sister, Roberta Pate.
Visitation will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 6th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 7th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
