The Des Moines Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating two teenagers who have been reported missing since late Saturday morning.
Seventeen-year-old Alexis and 14-year-old Zayden were last seen in the area of SW Porter Avenue. Although they are believed to have left voluntarily, both are without essential prescribed medications, raising concern for their safety and well-being.
Investigators also have reason to believe the teens may be planning to leave the Des Moines area, which adds urgency to the search.
Alexis is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 109 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue medical-style scrubs. Zayden is 5 feet 5 inches tall, around 130 pounds, and was last seen in blue and purple medical-style scrubs.
Anyone with information about Alexis or Zayden’s whereabouts is asked to contact 911 as soon as possible
