Shoppers and travelers alike will have the perfect excuse to hit the road this weekend as businesses along the Historic Hills Scenic Byway host a special Spring Shop About event.
Set for Friday and Saturday, April 10 – 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the event invites visitors to explore the 105-mile stretch of scenic southeastern Iowa, traveling from Bloomfield to Donnellson, and Eldon to Keosauqua.
The Spring Shop About is designed to encourage people to explore the region’s small towns, discover unique local businesses, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Historic Hills Scenic Byway. Many participating businesses will offer special promotions, product demonstrations, and one-of-a-kind shopping experiences throughout the two-day event.
“This is a great opportunity to support small businesses, discover new places, and celebrate the season along one of Iowa’s most scenic routes,” organizers said.
Maps, brochures, and a full list of participating businesses are available at Pathfindersrcd.org and on the Historic Hills Scenic Byway Facebook page. Visitors can also use an interactive Google map to plan their route and stops along the way.
