c Library is inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators by offering a range of hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities tailored for school-age children.

While no specific STEM events are currently scheduled, the library has made engaging STEM kits and educational materials available in the Kids Area. These resources are designed to encourage exploration and learning outside the classroom, giving curious young minds the chance to experiment, build, and create.

Library Director [Insert Name] encourages families to take advantage of the offerings. “STEM education is more important than ever,” they said. “We want to provide kids with fun, interactive tools that help them develop critical thinking skills and a love for discovery.”

In addition to in-library resources, families looking for more immersive STEM experiences can attend the Northeast Iowa Family STEM Festival on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Pavilion on the Allamakee County Fairgrounds in Waukon. The event is free and open to the public, offering dozens of hands-on exhibits geared toward children in grades PreK-8.
