The Iowa State Patrol’s Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit (ISPCMVU) took swift action Monday night to remove a hazardous commercial vehicle from the road on I-380.

Troopers encountered the ill-maintained vehicle attempting to travel from Iowa to Tennessee. During the stop, it was discovered that the vehicle was in violation of multiple safety regulations, including lacking proper documentation. The driver did not have a valid license, medical card, or logbook, and the company operating the vehicle was under a federal out-of-service order.

“This dangerous vehicle is exactly the type of threat we aim to remove from the road to ensure the safety of all motorists,” the ISPCMVU stated in a release.

The incident highlights the ongoing efforts of the Iowa State Patrol to enforce commercial vehicle safety regulations and protect drivers on the road.
