Authorities say a dead person was found inside a burning vehicle Tuesday night in Mount Pleasant.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says it received a 911 call at 11:20 PM from an unidentified individual reporting a medical issue. The call was traced back to the 1600 grid of Oakland Mills Road.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and saw a vehicle in the south ditch fully engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished and a deceased individual was found inside.
The name of the deceased has been withheld pending positive identification and notification of the deceased’s family.
