The CEO of Stine Seed Company is confident there are adequate seed supplies for planting.

Myron Stine tells Brownfield early spring conditions look good.

“We feel like we’re getting product shipped in a timely fashion to make sure our customers get what they want.”

He says farmers know getting crops off to a good start is crucial to achieving maximum yield potential.

“On corn of course, a good stand, an even stand, is essential to having a good corn crop. Soybeans that’s not as sensitive, but corn is we’re seeing it’s so sensitive to make sure your plants come up evenly.”

Stine is the world’s largest private seed company and is based in central Iowa.
