BLAKESBURG – Susan
Marie Greiner, 71, of Blakesburg , died at 9:46 p.m. January 11, 2025 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa.
She was born November 4, 1953 in Ottumwa to Estol and Helen Teeter Humble.
She married Larry Lee Greiner June 24, 1972.
A 1971 graduate of Ottumwa High School,
Susan had worked at John Deere Ottumwa Works for 31 ½ years and was responsible for managing the round baler line, retiring in
2009.
She enjoyed gambling, slot machines, cruises and attending her nephews stock car races. She loved spending time with family,
especially her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Larry; children, Brent Greiner of Crawfordsville and Jason Greiner of Monroe;
grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kaleb and Taylor Greiner; great-grandchild, Theodore; sister, Kathy (Terry) Carroll of Morrison, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sherri Stevens.
Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 16 th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7
p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 17 th at Reece Funeral Home.
Cremation will follow the service.
Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello counties or Ridgewood Specialty Care.
