Daniel Joseph Pickrell, lovingly known as Danny, was born on November 6, 1962, in Ottumwa, Iowa.
He spent his entire life in his beloved hometown, where he cherished his family, faith, and the simple pleasures of life.
Daniel was a thoughtful individual who never married, dedicating his life to his loved ones and his passions. He was a smart man. He cherished his girlfriend, Stephanie Dykstra.
Daniel had a deep love for reading, and his favorite book was the Bible. He found solace, inspiration, and guidance in its pages. His love for music was equally profound, offering him a source of joy and comfort in life.
Daniel was an active member of his church, regularly attending the First Assembly of God Church in Ottumwa.
His family meant everything to him, and he will be remembered for the love and care he extended to them.
Daniel’s life, while quiet and simple, was marked by the depth of his character and the warmth of his heart. He was a beacon of love, light, and wisdom to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
He passed away on January 20, 2025, at the Hospice Serving Wapello and Davies Counties, leaving behind a legacy of love and a life well-lived. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Imler, four brothers, Tony (Elizabeth), Matthew (Melissa), Brandon (Jessica), Jonah Pickerell, and girlfriend, Stephanie Dykstra. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Pickrell.
Per his wishes cremation has been accorded with no services planned.
